We occasionally organise or support fundraisers. Our largest one was in March 2017: we raised £7800 to buy a 4x4 ambulance for Anaya Aid in time to join the Unity Convoy, the largest convoy of ambulances ever sent from the UK to Syria. We also organise online fundraisers for other specific purposes: direct Hardship support for local asylum seekers with no recourse to public funds, occasional special efforts for one person in particular, when they are planning to go and volunteer abroad. We are joining efforts with a local resident to fundraise for the Pipka Camp on the Greek Island of Lesvos, where a young lady from Dorking has been volunteering for a year: this fundraiser is taking place on 14th July from 10 am to 12pm, at the Dorking Christian Centre. (more information coming soon). If you are organising a fundraiser for refugee support, whether it is an event, coffee morning, cake sale, concert, or online initiative, get in touch, we'll help you spread the word.
